How To Make Peanut Butter Banana Krispy Sushi
Peel one banana(s)
Spread a generous amount of peanut butter on the banana. The quantity is up to your discretion and taste preference. Using the consistency of frosting as if frosting a cake will ensure the krispy coating will stick to the peanut butter.
Pour a layer of rice krispies on a paper plate.
Roll the peanut butter banana through the rice krispies.
Lightly press the coating to the banana with your fingers.
With a sharp knife, cut the banana into bite size snacks.
Coating For The Peanut Butter Banana Krispy Sushi
Anything crunchy will work. Rice Krispies add a nice light crunch but chopped nuts, mixed nuts, cheerios will all work well.
Undeniably, the spreading the peanut butter on the banana and then rolling in the crunchy topping can be a bit messy. However practice does perfect the assembly and each session will decrease the time needed and the aesthetics will improve too! The first assembly attempt was a little rough but improved each time.
If desired, put the finished treat in the refrigerator to quick set the banana sushi; however this is optional and not necessary. chilling the sushi does make cutting the banana sushi much easier. Plastic gloves can also be used during assembly to make clean up a little quicker.
