The SPURTLE For Low Oxalate Cooking
The Spurtle! If you’ve never heard of the spurtle this is a great adaptation of a wooden spoon and spatula originating from the 15th century. And the spurtle also makes a fun gift for your foodie friends.
I love the Spurtle because it is fabulous for making mashed cauliflower and mashed potatoes (for the non oxalate watchers) and baking. Not that I’m not a fan of the wooden spoon, but cooking and baking with the spurtles are so much easier.
Air Fryer For Low Oxalate Snacks
Have you been on the fence about trying an Air Fryer for low oxalate meals or low oxalate snacks? I definitely was skeptical, but am so glad I acquiesced and now an air fryer is one of my favorite kitchen helpers. I like the basic version of the air fryer.
Air Fryers now come in a variety of shapes and colors and can be easily stored in the kitchen. It takes a little trial and error as with any new appliance, but this is a great helper to turn vegetables into deliciously crunchy yet healthy snacks and appetizers!

Coconut Oil is a must have for baking low oxalate desserts! This is the time to stock up !
I use ALOT of coconut oil for cooking and baking all year round and this is a great price!

Low Oxalate Flours
Yes, it is difficult to bake without white flour, but it can be done! It does take a bit of more trial and error, but the reward is great! How wonderful to have a low oxalate dessert which actually a true dessert in taste and appearance.
I’ve become a fan of coconut flour and have also been experimenting with banana flour. Both are low oxalate! Flours can be so expensive and Prime Day is a great time to order a few types of flour to try for your low oxalate diet.
