Making a micro mini pom pom is very easy and very quick! Learn how to down size a pom pom when your craft needs teeny weeny pom poms and particularly when you only need a few! I found I needed a few of these micro mini pom poms during the holiday craft season and could not find any small enough in the brick and mortar stores or my beloved dollar store. This led me to make my own little pom poms which was perfect as just a few crafts needed such small pom poms and we know Rudolph is not Rudolph without his red nose!

Directions

Cut a very small section off a pom pom. If you are using a small pom pom (size .5) cut about an 1/8 of the pom pom. The size does not need to be exact just in the area of 1/8 to 1/4 of the pom pom. This is your micro mini pom pom material.

Put a dab of glue on a paper plate.

Put the pom pom material in the palm of your hand.

With your other hand pick up a dab of glue from the paper plate.

1

Take the toothpick/glue and spear the pom pom material (gently!) in your other hand.

Wrap the material around the toothpick/glue.

2

Pull the toothpick out of the material.

Put the material/glue into the palm of your hand.

Use your index finger to roll the material/glue in a circle and a ball will form.

3

If you want the pom pom smaller, roll tighter. A larger pom pom, roll lightly.

That’s it! You have now made a micro mini pom pom.

Who can resist this little cutie of a pom pom!
