How To Make St. Patrick’s Day Safety Pin Craft

safety pin jewelry materials

Assorted beads

Directions

  1. Straighten one safety pin gently. The pin does not need to be absolutely straight, just straight enough to thread the beads. If making multiple pins it is quicker to straighten the pins in quantity.
  2. Lay out the beads.
  3. Choose the beads, three to five beads per pin.
  4. Thread the beads onto the safety pin in any pattern desired. Depending upon the size of the beads, rearrange the beads if needed.
  5. After the safety pin is filled with the beads, gently bend and close the saftey pin so  the safety pin can close in its’ normal manner.

St. Patrick’s Day Craft For Kids

Kids love picking out the beads and arranging the beads on the safety pins. This is a quick and easy St. Patrick’s Day craft that can be made in under 10 minutes.

Why Coiless Safety Pins

While tempting to purchase the regular size safety pins with a coil it is definitely not advised. The pin will not lay flat on the sweater or shirt.
