How To Make A Popsicle Stick Flower Vase

Directions

It is very very (did I say very!) easy to make a popsicle stick flower vase. We had so much fun making vases for Valentine’s Day we decided to customize the vase for July 4th!

Follow the Popsicle Stick Vase Tutorial >> here for step by step directions.

For red, white and blue patriotic colors check out the Dollar Store for Jumbo size Colored Popsicle Sticks. Option B is to paint the popsicle sticks with acrylic paint.

This will slightly increase the time to assemble your Popsicle Stick Flower Vase, but acrylic paint dries very quickly. Try painting the sticks assembly line style if you are making multiple vases. For white use a natural stick or paint a popsicle stick white with acrylic paint.

Assemble

Once again assembly line style is the quickest if you are making multiple vases. If your Popsicle sticks need to be painted that is the first step!

While the paint is drying is a perfect time to prepare your recyclable bottle or can. It is easier to insert the flowers into a wide mouthed container whether is be a bottle or can.

If using a can, the top of the can is removed with a can opener to provide a wider mouth for the flowers. This is an adult only part of the craft for safety.

Popsicle Stick Vase Ideas

Let your child or grandchild use their creativity to arrange the sticks on the container. Any combination of colors will work and for those who like a little glitz; use stick on jewels or sparkly twine to decorate the vases.  Enjoy using fresh flowers from your garden and enjoy our red, white and blue holidays all summer long!
