We purchased three pieces of furniture from Crate and Barrel for a significant cost. The items were purchased online. The transaction went fairly smoothly and delivery was offered in approximately two weeks. Furniture was delivered, the communication was very good between notification and delivery.
Fast forward a few weeks and once again I was surfing the Crate and Barrel website with the intent to purchase tables to coordinate with the recent purchase. While surfing for tables and on a surfing whim, I clicked over to one of the chairs received less than two weeks prior and discovered the chair was now on clearance. The sale price was $200.00 less than the purchase price. Significant and noteworthy.

Seemed like a reasonable request I thought. Which led to a second email asking the case be “reopened” and once again I requested specifically where could I find the printed language of the Crate and Barrel price adjustment policy.
A few days later I received a phone call from Crate and Barrel and a voicemail was left stating the same company line; the purchase does not fall within the 14 day window for a price adjustment. No mention of exactly where I could find this stealth Crate and Barrel price adjustment policy. I do appreciate the communication and response however.

In the meantime, between emails one and two I contacted Crate and Barrel on Facebook and asked as to where I could find a published Crate and Barrel price adjustment policy? I received a response within 4 hours which stated the price adjustment policy is at the discretion of Crate and Barrel. Discretion? Surfing through various retail online sites, it was quite easy to find their respective price adjustment policies. However Crate and Barrel’s price adjustment policy is a stealthy one to locate.
