A bruffin? Sounds suspiciously like a muffin.
Why are #bruffins trending and they do look enticing indeed. Particularly if you are a fan of brioche or a muffin or both! Sweet, savory or both!
What Is A Bruffin?
A bruffin is a combination of a muffin crossed with a brioche. It is the creation of Michael Bagley and Medy Youcef in New York City and is gaining fans for its’ creativity, portability and flavor combinations.
Characterized as a meal in a muffin, The Bruffin Care in NYC offers 16 flavors of the Bruffin. Each country is assigned a Bruffin flavor including:
British = Bacon and Sharp Cheddar
Canadian = Maple Canadian Bacon and Sharp Cheddar
American = Chicken, Blue Cheese, Hot Sauce
French = Lardons, Gruyere, Brie
Greek = Beef, Feta, Spinach and Kalamata Olives
Not to be left out, the Bruffin is also available in sweet flavors:
- Chocolate covered Bacon and Salted Caramel
- Vanilla Apple Almond
- Blueberry Mascarpone
- Cherry Almond
The creators of the Bruffin describe the Bruffin as light, flaky pastry infused with sweet and savory flavors suitable to be eaten any time of the day whether as part of a meal or a snack.
