As we progress through the seasons there is definitely one constant in my house, a distinct lack of humidity in the winter and allergy issues in the spring. Although we have a humidifier on the furnace, a little more humidity is necessary due to chronic sinus issues, in the winter and then the pollen and allergies strike come spring.
I have purchased a few humidifiers in the past and each have their positives and negatives. The main features we wanted was ease of use, convenience and a steady quiet output without the white residue many humidifiers leave behind.
The designs have improved both esthetically and functionally and my interest was peeked when I came across the Satechi USB portable humidifier during my research.
Satechi USB Portable Humidifier Delivers What Is Promised
I had read many positive reviews of the Satechi USB Portable Humidifier v.2.5 (Regular)
and found the reviewers were accurate and Satechi delivered what was promised. The humidifier is one unit with a slim pencil size wick attached to a cap which is then attached to the top of a water bottle and powered with a USB cable.
The unit can be attached to any water bottle with a narrow opening. I have used both the unit on 8, 12 and 16 ounce bottles with no problem. The unit is whisper quiet with a gentle stream of mist.
Portability
The size, portability as well as the positive reviews were one of the key factors in my decision to purchase the Satechi. The humidifier is easy to use at your desk whether at home or in the office, in a car or next to the bed. The manufacturer estimates a maximum area of 16.4 square feet for its’ optimum use.
Ease of Connectivity
Connecting the humidifier is simple with the included USB cable. A
USB 2.0 or 3.0 port can be used or an electrical outlet if desired.
I connect the humidifier to my laptop at work and at home I use the USB wall plug converter to connect to a regular electrical outlet.
Can Be Used As a Diffuser
Another nice feature of the Satechi is it’s compatibility with essential oils. Choose your favorite essential oil and depending upon the size of bottle, add a few drops and enjoy the aroma. Whether adding an essential oil for therapeutic purposes or a fragrance to enjoy, it is very convenient to combine the Satechi with disposable water bottles and essential oils.
The Satechi USB portable humidifier qualifies as one my best purchases this year.
What Is In The Box?
Two filters are included with the Satechi and a USB cable.
