#givingtuesday welcomes our support.

The turkey and stuffing are now long gone …

Black Friday sales and Cyber Monday are toast …

Now let’s get down to the real business of paying it forward for the holiday season.

December 1 is #GivingTuesday a day to support your favorite cause  to “celebrate and encourage giving” across the world. Support does not have to be monetary, volunteer your time, your talents, your desire to facilitate change.

History of #GivingTuesday

This is only the fourth year of the global effort and the movement continues to grow with the assistance of corporate and nonprofit supporters across all sectors.

This year major supporter Paypal will offer a 1% match in its’ Paypal Giving Fund to all donations of $10.00 and above for the month of December. Paypal is also eyeing a Guinness World Record by attempting to set a record for the most money donated online in 24 hours (December 1) for charity.

Whichever charity, nonprofit, philanthropic organization you support – remember their efforts on December 1 and pass the word. Twitter and Instagram will also be alit with the #nonselfiephotos campaign. Get your camera ready to participate.
