Ingredients

  • 1 Bag of Puffcorn
  • White chocolate chips vanilla bark or candy melts
  • Football Flags  optional

Instructions

  • Line a cookie or baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. For one bag of puffcorn I use I use two baking sheet.
  • Melt the white candy or chocolate in the microwave. Sacrebleu – melting chocolate in the microwave. You bet! For this recipe it works just fine.
  • Lightly drizzle melted chocolate over the puffcorn. I like to use a wooden spoon.
  • Drizzle by waving the spoon back and forth at medium speed so the chocolate “gently” flies off the spoon. You aren’t trying to totally cover the puffcorn.
  • Bring out the decorations! I make this game day snack with and without decoration. Gently sprinkle the decorations and visually judge what looks aesthetically pleasing to you.
  • The puffcorn now needs to set. Leave on countertop abut 10-15  minutes until the chocolate hardens. For a quick set pop the trays into the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  • Remove trays from refrigerator and break apart the puffcorn into snackable sizes.
  • Store puffcorn in a tightly closed container until serving.
  • If decorating with  football flags, add the flags after the puffcorn has set.

Notes

Easy, easy and easy! I frequently make Football Puffcorn and adjust the color of the sprinkles for the holiday. For the Football Puffcorn I chose not to add sprinkles as I was decorating the game day snacks with football flags.
If you are hosting a playoff or Superbowl party then sprinkles could be coordinated for the team colors of your or your guests' favorite team.
Chester's Puffcorn (hull less popcorn) is my favorite, but any brand of Puffcorn can be used. Puffcorn is also called Corn Pops by some brands.
