Ingredients

  • One bag of Puffcorn
  • White chocolate or white chocolate chips or almond bark
  • Decorative sprinkles - optional

Instructions

  • Lay out the puffcorn in a single layer on a lined cookie sheet(s). I'd recommend lining the cookie sheets with wax or parchment paper.
  • Melt the white chocolate. I use a microwave and melt the white chocolate for 30 seconds. Then melt the chocolate at at 15 second intervals. Check the white chocolate closely so the white chocolate is not overcooked in the microwave. a
  • Drizzle white chocolate over puffcorn with a spoon. I use a wooden spoon to drip the chocolate on the puffcorn.
  • How much white chocolate to use to coat the puffcorn is personal taste preference. There is no right or wrong amount as all will work.
  • If desired and of course optional is using decorative sprinkles to add color or go with a theme.  The Back To School Puffcorn snack can be decorated with any sprinkles or jimmies.
  • Decorate! Sprinkle, sprinkle and sprinkle your favorite edible decorations.
  • Pop the cookie sheets into the refrigerator and let set for 10 minutes or longer. The white chocolate needs to harden and adhere to the puffcorn. No harm in leaving the cookie sheets in the refrigerator longer either.
  • Remove cookie sheets from refrigerator and then break apart the puffcorn into the sizes desired.
  • Store in an airtight container.
  • One word of caution: heat and humidity are not a friend to the puffcorn snack. The puffcorn can also be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • For portion control I package the puffcorn into treat size bags and tie the bag closed to keep the puffcorn fresh.
