I have passed the Little Potato Company Microwave Ready Potatoes probably a hundred times in the grocery store and today I finally purchased the potatoes to try. I was pleasantly surprised by the creamy taste, consistent quality of the potatoes and loved the five minute cook to table convenience.

I tried the garlic parsley flavor and liked the combination of flavors plus the seasonings can be added per each individual taste as the seasonings are separately packaged.

I tried the potatoes with and without seasoning, with and without butter or olive oil and the potatoes passed each taste test easily. You can easily split up the potatoes to serve with and without seasoning to suit each guests or family members preference.

Size And Portion

The potatoes are definitely small red potatoes in the one pound microwavable container. I counted 25 red potatoes in the package. Definitely enough for a healthy side dish serving for 2-4 people depending upon their appetite and companion dishes.

Holiday Meals And Small Kitchens

One of my first thoughts after the potatoes passed the taste test with flying tater colors was how this would be an excellent addition as a side dish for a holiday meals. If you own a small kitchen then holiday meals can be a juggling act with limited counter space and limited oven space to ensure all the dishes come out on time.
