Can You See Me Now? Snaplight – Favorite Emergency Light For Power Outages

Why does the electricity only go out when you haven’t charged your phone! The Murphy’s Law of power outages. I am happy to report that the power outage this week was almost bearable (except for those winter temperatures) due to my now very tested and new Number One Emergency Light for power outages – the Snaplight!

SnapLight To The Rescue

When the electricity goes out with a BANG this is usually not a good sign of quick restoration.

As usual and definitely as usual if you live in a sketchy part of the electrical grid I warily made my way to the flashlight drawer when the electricity went out. Of course the electricity went out at night. Of course who was just about to charge the cell phone? Of course it was a  very cold night. Of course the car is now being held hostage in the garage.Snaplight for power outages. Review of this practical emergency light stick to rescue when the electricity goes out!Thankfully the batteries in the flashlight were working and as I grumbled my way through the utility drawer I recalled an emergency provision I had purchased after the last go around of power outages. I found the Snaplight emergency glow sticks and suddenly the night without power became much easier to navigate.

Under Promise And Over Deliver

The Snaplight is a slim six inch cylinder which is encased in a protective packaging. To activate the Snaplight all you have to do is remove the packaging, gently bend the Snaplight and voila! let there be light. This is a cyalume light stick: the slim see through tube contains a liquid which turns into a glow stick once the stick is ‘cracked’ or bent upon opening. Also available in multiple colors and I originally chose green which worked wonderfully.

I am extremely happy to report the Snaplight promises 12 hours of light and in fact this Snaplight was still going strong after 20 hours. I love it when brands deliver as promised and more! The Snaplight is around $1.00 per stick depending upon the quantity ordered. What a rate of return!

SnapLight Features I Loved

Very light weight

Easy to Store, fits anywhere

Value to Price

Hanging hook at top

Nice soft glow

Large area of illumination

While the power outage was not fun, these emergency glow sticks made the night so much easier! Amazing the amount of soft light one little stick can generate. So nice to carry a whisper weight emergency light around the house instead of lugging a flashlight and worrying about batteries.

Recommendation

I highly recommend the Snaplight for your home, office and car. I originally purchased a pack of 10 and sprinkled the Snaplights in the home, car and office. After this weeks’ power outage I will be purchasing emergency lights aka glow sticks  for the house and as practical stocking stuffers! I guarantee your stocking stuffer recipient will appreciate your gift!
