Ingredients
1bag of PuffcornChesters brand is my favorite
1/2bar of almond barkor 1/2 bag of white chocolate chips
2cookie sheets
Parchment paper
Sprinklesjimmies, edible decorations
Instructions
Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Wax paper will also work.
Spread the puffcorn in a single layer on two cookie sheets.
Melt the bark or white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. I begin by melting the chocolate/bark in 30 second increments.
With a wooden spoon drizzle the chocolate onto the puffcorn. The amount of drizzle is up to you. It is okay to be generous, the majority of the puffcorn should have a 'touch' of chocolate drizzle.
If desired, decorate the puffcorn with sprinkles, jimmies or any edible decoration.
Set the puffcorn on the counter for approximately 15 minutes. For a quick set pop the cookie sheets into the refrigerator.
Break apart the puffcorn into finger food size morsels.
Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Where To Find Puffcorn
Puffcorn also known as hullless popcorn is in the snack aisle of grocery stores and convenience stores. The major brands of puffcorn include Chesters (by Frito Lay), Bettermade, Herr, Meijer. The puffcorn can be plain or butter flavored. I have also purchased natural puffcorn which is a healthier version of puffcorn with less salt. However this recipe is a snack, treat and sweet and salty so as we know... everything in moderation!
