  • Ingredients for Original Fantasy Fudge.
  • Store bought icing or homemade white icing.
  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment paper or sheets
  • plastic bag or disposable decorator bags
  • Decorator tip is optional
  • Football cookie cutters Metal only.

  • Lay out your materials prior to beginning to make the fudge as you know how testy chocolate fudge can become if not molded from the moment it is ready.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or my new favorite parchment sheets.
  • Make the Original Fantasy Fudge recipe. Yes, the original fudge recipe with marshmallow creme!
  • Cool the fudge and transfer to lined baking sheet.
  • Smooth the fudge with a wooden spoon.
  • Lay a second sheet of parchment paper on top of the fudge. A fudge sandwich has now been created.
  • Smooth out the fudge by using your hands on to of the parchment paper or for a quicker method use a rolling pin.
  • Cut out your fudge footballs with your cookie cutter.
  • To ensure a clean cut make sure the inside of the cookie cutter is always greased with cooking spray.
  • Grease the cookie cutter after each football.
  • Let set in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • How To Decorate  Football Fudge
  • If you have bought the 'icing in a tube' and have decorator tips on hand, simply decorate the fudge with the stripes or piping.
  • The homemade version of a decorator bag is a quart size plastic bag with the end removed. Fill the bag with icing and create a triangle. Cut off the end of the bag at the very end of the point.
  • The icing should be a stiffer decorating icing (my favorite recipe without egg whites) used for cakes or cookies.

Second Way To Cut Out Fudge Footballs

  • Another Way To Cut Out Footballs
  • If a football cookie cutter is not in your cookie cutter collection I have made fudge footballs from football templates made of parchment paper.
  • Cut out footballs from parchment paper.
  • Lay the footballs on the sheet of fudge.
  • Using a sharp knife cut arund each football.
  • Use a spatula to remove each football.
  • Remove the fudge footballs to a lined baking sheet to decorate.

To ensure a clean cut make sure the inside of the cookie cutter is always greased with cooking spray. Do not scrimp on the cooking spray!
